UPDATE:

In spite of the economic situation (desperate as usual)
and the painfully slow progress due to my perpetual state of unemployment ...
CRo is, in fact, evolving towards completion !

Some rambling thoughts regarding "STYLE":

This will not be a "California Custom" or a glamorized "Retro-Cafe" exercise.
Design sensibility is based consciously upon the factory works racing machines of the late 1970s and very early 80's
The intention is to be raw & unrefined, simple & capable ... vs "stylized".

The Focke-Wulf 190D was chosen as visual inspiration for CRo.
This choice references not only the functional utility inherent in a W.W.II fighter plane
but the influence that aircraft design and graphics played
in the developing "hot-rod-style" that exploded in post-war America as well.
Paint on the FRP panels will be flat camo military green, shades of grey, and black,
rattle-can applied, and easily repairable ...
The number "v13" will adorn front and sides,
"v" being the Luftwaffe designation for "versuch" and meaning "prototype".
"13" in honor of the 190D flown by Klaus Faber in Adolph Galland's JV44, the "Wurger-Staffel",
which, literally translated, is: "the Butcher Bird Squadron"
CRo graffix will grace fairing sides and seat-base top.
A functional and egalitarian "track aesthetic" will be my goal.
